Powless will be presenting a series of tennis tips for senior
The American tennis legend Powless has played in numerous
countries around the globe during his illustrious tennis career.
The tennis tales of the 75-year old superstar are compelling,
but even more impressive is the fact that Powless continues to
be one of the top players on the international senior circuit.
He was the number one ranked men’s player in the world in the
70-year old division.
An undefeated tennis player while earning an undergraduate
degree at Murray State, Powless coached the Wisconsin Badger’s
tennis team from 1964-68. He became the head basketball coach
from 1968-76. A member of the collegiate Hall of Fame in both
tennis and basketball, John has won 25 world titles in singles,
doubles and team championships. He was inducted into the U.S.
Tennis Hall of Fame in 2000.
