USA Teams Victorious in Tuesday Play

   Rain plagued San Diego, but fortunately the USA teams were able to finish play in all 10 Cups. The rain held off till after 2pm at most venues. Tomorrow the weather should be back to it’s usual sunshine here. All 10 USA Cup teams won today.

 

The Italia Cup, Men’s 35, team beat Sweden 2/0 (the doubles wasn’t played.) They play the #2 seeds, France tomorrow.

The Suzanne Lenglen Cup, Women’s 35, beat Switzerland 3/0 today and play Turkey tomorrow on Court 9. They are scheduled to play the semis of their Cup on Thursday and finish on Friday at La Costa.

The Young Cup, Women’s 40, beat So Africa 3/0 today and face Mexico tomorrow on Center Court at Barnes.

The Tony Trabert Cup, Men’s 40, beat Argentina today 3/0 on Center Court and play Canada on Barnes on Court 7.

The Dubler, Cup, Men’s 45, beat Canada today 3/0 and play Australia tomorrow on Court 1 at Morgan Run.

The Margaret Court Cup, Women’s 45, beat Poland today 3/0 and play Ireland tomorrow at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club.

The Fred Perry Cup, Men’s 50, beat Turkey 3/0 today and play New Zealand tomorrow on Court 12 at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club.

The Bueno Cup, Women’s 50, beat Germany 3/0 today and play Estonia tomorrow at the San Diego Tennis and Racquet Club.

The Maureen Connolly Cup, Women’s 55, beat Sweden today 3/0 and play Canada tomorrow on Court 18 at Balboa Tennis Club.

The Austria Cup, Men’s 55, beat Canada today 3/0 and play So Africa tomorrow on Court 8 at Balboa Tennis Club.
