They played former Gold Slam champion Betty Cookson and Phyllis Adler in the final…and appropriately, all four players wore all white, not because they’d arranged it that way, but because as Betty said, they always do. Cathie added the singles gold ball to her growing collection (she also won the clay and grass this year, failing to win only the indoors).
