Billy Livings: 1936-12011

Rosie Livings wrote:

This morning at 1:56 (EST) my precious husband Billy Livings passed on to Heaven.  For those of you who didn’t know, he suffered a massive stroke on Thursday [Oct. 13] either during or immediately following a clean-out of his left carotid artery.  He had dodged many serious health issues in the past 24 years, but this one couldn’t be fixed. [He died on Monday the 17th]

The Livings family lost its beloved father, father-in-law, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Many of you lost a friend, your coach,or mentor.  Let us together Count Our Blessings" as we review our shared memories and unique stories.  Although we are happy that Billy (aka Coach aka Doodle)is no longer bothered by aches, pains, and more serious health problems, we’ll miss him sorely.  Our family appreciates your love and prayers not just during this difficult time but throughout our days together.  May God grant us strength as we deal with our grief and celebrate Billy’s life.

There will be a memorial service in Vero Beach (time to be announced) and another in Montgomery at a later date. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, remembrances be sent to the Memorial Fund of either Community Church in Vero Beach or First Christian Church of Montgomery, Alabama.
