Today, disappointingly, I received a walkover from my opponent, who was ill with a virus. I play Lyn Mortimer who “upset” Martinicova, the 2nd seed, 62 62 (not much of an upset, since Lyn had never lost to her in the past).

We won our doubles against a British team, the 3rd seeds and play the 2nd seeds tomorrow, though I don’t think they are as strong as the team we play tomorrow, but we will find out tomorrow.

Michael Beautyman took out the top seed today, though it was someone he had beaten earlier in the year. Hugh Thomson and Beautyman are into the doubles semis and play potentially 2 matches tomorrow.

There was some talk about rain, but it seems to be arriving late tomorrow and should not be a factor.
