It was a very nice day here, cool but calm and mostly sunny…sort of a California winter day (from the time when there was winter in California…).
I played Jill Sickle from Chicago (a Dartmouth alum and Stanford Business School graduate too!). We had some good points but I prevailed and play Sue Webb, the #4 seed in the semis. It will be tough…she finished strong in beating Julie Farina, rallying from 3/4 down in the third to win 64 with some great drives and drops. Fran Chandler made the semis over Sheila Chiricosta too.
More later…going off to the player party now.
CAROLYN: SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE HAVING A GOOD TOURNAMENT AND FUN. DAD DOESN’T PLAY IN PALMS SPRINGS UNTIL THURSDAY. LOVE, MOM
