Kelly Pace, playing her first 35s national, eased through the draw, beating the 2010 40 Clay Court champion, Mary Dineen 61 61 in the final. Shelly Works beat Anna Zimmerman 63 61 to win the 45s. Zimmerman beat top seeded Mariana Hollman in the first round. Erika Smith/Mary Dailey, won the 35 AND 45 doubles titles. In the 45s, they beat the clay court champions, Hollman/Jarilyn Joseph, in straight sets and also beat Works/Julie Ogborne to take the 35 crown. Leslie Murveit and Pat Purcell upset the #1 seeds and defending champions in the semis, edging Christy Schaeffer and Tina Karwaksy 75 in the third, then beat the #2 seeds, Tracy Viebrock/Janet Bezmalinovich 26 61 61 in the final. The 55 singles final is set for tomorrow between Karwasky and Purcell. It will be their first meeting.
