Mark Vines Wins 55 Indoors; Eoin Collins Takes 40 Clay

From the tournament website: Congratulations to the 2012 Men’s 55 Indoors Singles and Doubles Gold Ball Winner – Mark Vines from Lynchburg, VA. What a great run and he now has the second of five titles for the Golden Slam. Mark won the ITF World Games in February. Good Luck in the remaining three USTA National tournaments – grass, clay and hard courts. Congratulaions to Wesley Cash from Chattanooga, TN for pairing up with Mark to win the doubles gold ball. Singles – silver – Maxime Buyckx, bronze – Geoff Cykman, fourth place – Paul Moss, fifth place (consolation winner) Stuart Chase, sixth place – Eric Bligard. Doubles – silver-Jeff Winkler and Kenny House, bronze – Wayne Pickard and Rob Knox, fourth place – Fred Budde and Randy Crowell, fifth place Gary Grandolph and John Virgin, sixth place – Dan Clingo and Russ Edman.

Eoin Collins upset Oren Motevassel to win the 40 Clay Courts last week. He combined with Carlos Gomez-Diaz to reach the doubles final. However, the star of the doubles was the unseeded team of Gavin O’Connellr and Stephen Enochs, who mowed down the field to win the title.
