Enver Mehmedbasich won his first USTA ball, a gold, at the Super Senior Father/Daughter indoors. Unseeded, the team of Susan Wright (#1, 45 singles), and Mehmedbasich beat the top seeds, the Solomons, from Inidanapolis, in 3 sets in the semis and took out another unseeded team, Wendie Beattie and Alan Fischl in the final. They also reached the final of the senor father/daughter, falling there to Julie Mitchell/Paul Walker of Ohio in straight sets.
