I flew Thursday to Beijing from Shenzhen, a three hour flight. The airport in Shenzhen is beautiful, modern, clean..charging stations at every gate. I flew Shenzhen Airlines which was fine and even had a meal for a three hour flight.

After steamy, tropical Shenzhen, Beijing weather was a big contrast, grey, drizzly, 40s. I got to my hotel and decided to walk to the Forbidden City, about 30 minutes away.
