Back on the Red Clay in Mallorca

I hit my first tennis balls since the end of the tournament in Lima today under vastly different conditions, although the court was still red clay. However, the balls were heavier and it was about 30° hotter, in the mid to upper 90s or about 36 to 37°C.

I hit for an hour and a half and survived.

I also returned to Aldi for a little more fruit and a few more nuts. It’s amazing to me how many things are labeled as Trader Joe’s, even though their items that you’ve never seen in a Trader Joe’s in the USA like giant spicy sunflower seeds in shells.. also the nuts I like which taste a lot like Marcona almonds are under three dollars for a nice container. In the states. They would be about three times as much! They also sold California pistachios although I didn’t buy any, they looked nice.

I didn’t do a whole lot more it was hot. I was still jet lagged, but I did get my laundry done and some exercise exercises and I listen to a lot of Wimbledon radio since there’s no TV for the tournament available here to me.

Tomorrow I hit in the morning and hopefully I’ll go for a drive or a walk somewhere in the area. It’s really a pretty place but it’s awfully hot, but there’s no humidity so it’s not as bad as Florida!

The top photo is the view from my room. The bottom left a picture of the almonds I like and on the right is the name of the Academy I’m at and notice it is not the Nadal Academy! The Nadal Academy is on the other side of the island.
