From Kay Dandel: The GOLD BALLS MOVIE (goldballsmovie.com), is an upcoming documentary about tennis players over age 80! GOLD BALLS is a film about champions in the world of ULTRA Senior tennis. It’s a world where the players actually look forward to getting older if only every 5 years when they age up into the next category and have relative youth on their side.

GOLD BALLS includes numerous National and World tennis champions, along with underdogs and competitors new to the tournament circuit, focusing on the humor and drama that takes place off center court.

We are launching a 30-Day Kickstarter campaign today (Kickstarter.com, search: GOLD BALLS MOVIE) to raise the funds to support the filming of this independent documentary during the 2014 National Championship season.

The film explores themes of resilience, happiness, and purpose, through the lens of sport. We’ll celebrate and suffer along with a diverse group of players as they attempt final goals on their bucket lists, experiencing with them the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.

Gold Balls showcases tennis as a relatable, life-long lifestyle activity, and will inspire players of every level to pick up a racquet and head for the courts.
