Ruth Young/Sue Sprague from San Diego beat the 4th seeds, Holland/Kirkland/Cochran 63 76 to reach the semis against Tracy Viebrock/Carolyn Nichols; Chris Ramsower-Pearlstein/Sue Whiting face Bronson/Murveit in the semis.

In the 65s, in a minor upset, Cathie Anderson beat Judy Louie (# 5 vs #4) in straight sets. The top three seeds, Orth, Carter and Wachob, advanced in straight sets, as did the doubles seeds.

The top 4 seeds in the 75s won: deVries faces Wood, and Herrick (who beat Van Nostrand), plays Matthiessen.
