35s: There are only five teams and they are playing a round robin. So far Southern has taken a commanding lead, up 3/0 with one match to play, against Florida. Southern Cal was the weak link in this division, only winning one match in the five ties. But they came and competed which is very important.
There were nine teams in the 45s. Texas (1) and Southern (2) will meet in the final and Eastern (which upset New England) and Mid Atlantic (MATA, which upset SoCal) are meeting to play for bronze. Texas edged MATA 3/2 & Southern blanked Eastern, dropping only one game in the singles and one of the doubles matches (the other made up for it, being a 76 76 win for Southern.
Florida won the 75s over Southern; SoCal finished third over MATA. Florida beat Southern 4/0. SoCal beat MATA 2/2 but won one more set than MATA since Liane Bryson in singles at #1 won in straight sets while MATA’s #2 won in three sets.

SoCal won the 85s over Texas 1/0 (that’s what is reported as of now; playing Roz King can be demoralizing). Florida beat Southern for third 2/0. Photo of Texas 85s below.
