Today we had a bye as did the SoCal 55s. We practiced at 8:30 at the Lauderdale TC and even persuaded Mary Ginnard to play with us for a bit.
I left at 10 to scout the #1 singles for Pacific NW vs Eastern, but easily could have stayed…they started closer to 11 and went three sets, finishing probably around 1pm with Carol Levine from Eastern winning over Tracey Thompson.
Chris Ramsower Pearlstein had a racing heart and had to stop so Eastern also won at #2 singles; Sally Garry, PNW, won at #3 singles; doubles starting soon.
Mary Mottola totally pulled her hamstring yesterday and today nearly fainted from the heat (the match between Levine and Thompson…just the first set…was looooong). So it was all going on.
SoCal 75, 80 and 85 all seemed to be doing well. Draws for those divisions are below. W85 had a bye today.
We play the winner of Eastern/PNW at 8:30 tomorrow.
