Jenny Klitch Wins Second Straight World Championship; Michelle Oldham, Lisa Prechtel, Oren Motevassel and Gabriel Keymer Win Singles Titles in Palm Beach Gardens

Draws are here.

On a hot, steamy Saturday, top seeded Jenny Klitch faced off on center court at the BallenIsles Country Club against Simona Isidori of Italy, the 4th seed. Isidori pummeled the second seed, Marie-Christine Calleja in the semis while Klitch took out the 7th seed, also an Italian, Elisabetta Morici 75 61. The match lasted 3.5 hours and every set was a battle. Isidori started strongly, leading 4/0 before Jenny started figuring things out as she does. She won 57 76 75. In the final set Isidori was two points from the match and serving at 5/4 30-0 but couldn’t quite pull it out…great match before an adoring and supportive (of Jenny) crowd.
