It’s late and we have a 5 AM start tomorrow so this is a very quick post. I’ll post more tomorrow I hope.

We started at 5:30 in the morning and finished at about 5:30 in the evening. We walked from the Km 104 stop on the Railroad in Machu Picchu where we got the classic photos, entering via the Sun gate.

We passed three Inca ruins during the hike.

For Susan, this was her first hike and it was quite an introduction. We’re supposed to hike the Machu Picchu Mountain tomorrow, but will be a discussion for another day.

I hope to post a more complete article tomorrow, but here’s the photo proving we made it all the way! Tim had a bit of difficulty along the way, but he is a trooper and he made it! It’s not a super steep hike or super difficult one, but the altitude does make it a big challenge.
