I won 61 61 to win the 55s; Mariana lost 60 60 to a terrific Belgian player, Klartje Van Baarle… Tremendous racquet head speed and even better movement. We played doubles immediately following agains Olga S and Lesley O’Halloran, the world champions, and managed to win 46 64 then 10-5 in the tiebreak. We even got new balls for the match.. In all our other matches we got used balls. I had to leave for the airport shortly after, but all in all a good day.
