Dori DeVries dominated the women’s 75 division at the European Championships in Austria. She won the singles, beating the top seed, Jung, 60 60, and the second seed Michael (who had a tough 3 setter to get past Carol Wood in the semis), 62 60 in the final. Devries and Wood easily won the doubles.
Heide Orth edged her doubles partner, Australia’s Carol Campling, to win the 65s singles, then combined with Campling to win the 4 team round robin doubles competition.
In the men’s 80s, Canada’s Lorne Main danced through the draw to win the title without threat.
