Message from Tournament Referee, Melissa Jackson
I am honored to be stepping in for Bard Rickey this year at the Pacific Coast Seniors (PCS) hosted at the historic Berkeley Tennis Club. As the Tournament Referee, my goal is always the same: Applying the rules and regulations of tennis fairly for every player involved . I look forward to working with the PCS Committee and the Tournament Director to make this a great experience for all the players.
Although this is my first time running the PCS tournament, I am and have been the Tournament Referee for many National Category 1 Adult/Senior Tournaments for the past 20 years. Therefore, I may be a familiar face to many of you.
Please send all scheduling requests to me at mdumas90@gmail.com

Message from Pacific Coast Seniors Committee:
We are looking forward to hosting the PCS Tournament once again at the Berkeley Tennis Club. Thank you for the feedback we received after last year’s successful event.
As we did last year, the tournament will provide complimentary lunch and dinner for all players as well as a continental breakfast. Whether you have a match or not on any day of the tournament, we hope you come to the club and enjoy lunch or dinner while you watch matches and connect with your fellow tennis enthusiasts.
In order to keep matches on schedule, we have made a few scheduling changes for 2025:
(1) Players may enter up to three events, but may only enter one event in singles, one event in gender doubles and one event in parent/child doubles.
(2) All matches will be two out of three sets with a super tiebreaker in lieu of a third set.
(3) The tournament will run over six days (up from five days in 2024).
We appreciated the feedback about expanding the event to include back draws. We gave it strong consideration, but balanced that idea against our desire to host the entire event on the ten BTC courts and not have satellite locations.
We look forward to seeing you at the BTC.
