Westwood, The End: Jenny Klitch Wins Four Titles

Austin Airport, Texas, USA

Happy Memorial Day everyone! 🇺🇸

The last day of the Westwood CC Senior Tennis ITF S700/USTA Level 2 started with…a heavy rain shower. Everyone on site grabbed a squeegee though and the matches began about two hours late.

Jenny Klitch and I played the 55 doubles final against Rainy Miller/Shelly Works. Jenny (once again), played great, and we won 63 64. After the doubles, Jenny immediately joined her brother Tim Klitch to win the mixed 61 64 on Center Court.

Earlier Tim won a long singles match against #1 seed Peter Markes, winning 64 in the third. So the Klitches have quite a bit of new dinnerware to use and to remind them of this event.

In men’s 55, unseeded Rivera dropped three games total in the semis and final, taking out #1 Scott Works in the semis and #2 Kelly Ward in the final. I asked the TD about him…he said Rivera is really good but shows up intermittently…either winning the tournament or losing early. This was a good year for him!
