Young Seniors: New 2018 Timeline ; Reapplication IS Necessary;Applications Are Open Till June 15th, Link Below

  1. It is necessary to apply even if you applied previously
  2. The application process is open till June 15
  3. You must play or have played a Category 1 singles or doubles (mixed and family events do NOT count) in the age division for which you wish to apply between November 5, 2016 to June 20, 2018
  4. Results from November 5, 2015-June 20, 2018 will be considered for team selection.

Good Afternoon Young Seniors,

Due to the 2nd date change for the Young Seniors World Team Championships, we have altered our selection timeline.  Additionally, we will be opening a new application process.  If you applied earlier in the year for the teams, you will have to reapply should you still want to be considered.  Below please find the new selection timeline.  The new application link will be posted on May 15th.

ITF Young Seniors World Championships, Men’s and Women’s 35, 40, 45 (note slightly updated dates of event)

Team Tournament:October 21– October 26, 2018

Individual Tournament:October 27 – November 3, 2018

Location: Miami, FL

Important Dates:

May 15, 2018: Application re-opened on USTA.com.

June 15, 2018: Application deadline.

*June 20, 2018: Eligible players who apply on/before June 15, 2018 for consideration will be posted on USTA.com.

June 25, 2018: Deadline to notify the USTA of any omissions to the posted applicant list.

July 15, 2018: Team selection posted to USTA.com and players will be notified of their status.

August 15, 2018: All paperwork (excluding travel itinerary) due to USTA staff (including player agreement, media packet, copy of passport, & IPIN)

September 15, 2018: Players may begin to make their travel arrangements.

September 30, 2018: Travel arrangements due to staff.

October 22, 2018: Young Seniors World Team Championships begins

*Due to the change in dates from April to October, we will be considering tournament results from November 5, 2015 – June 20, 2018.  Also, a player must have played in at least 1 Category I National Championship in the age group for which they want to be considered between November 5, 2016 – June 20, 2018. This must be in singles and/or doubles. Mixed doubles does not count as fulfilling the Category I requirement.
