I’ve been a lot of places in the last month! From Canada to Peru to California and now to Spain.
My trip back from Peru was mostly uneventful but long…a four hour layover turned into a nine hour layover in Miami (for the second year in a row…going to try and avoid Miami next year!)…plane trouble though this year (last year it was thunderstorms).
Sunday I began my trip to Europe…via London on British Airways, which prohibits tennis racquets in carryon luggage (either due to them being considered weapons or being too long to fit in a baggage sizer). I put Apple AirTags in my checked luggage and hoped for the best…and my luggage arrived as scheduled (which I could tell immediately upon landing.)

The airport in London, Terminal 5, A gate area was PACKED, as were all the lounges…I haven’t been through London for a long time (I like to carry my racquets with me), but the B gates are only a 10 min walk (or you can take a tram) from A or C gates and much quieter…a better place for a long layover. The gates aren’t announced till about 50 minutes before the intended departure time anyway.
There are a lot of high end stores in Terminal 5A…from Prada to Gucci to Tiffany to Bulgari…and more. Not sure who shops in them but none were completely empty.

Mallorca airport was also packed but it was only 8pm when I arrived…it’s been packed when I’ve arrived at 10 or 11pm too.

Off to train now…
