Tennis & Hiking in Mallorca

It was another hot day in Mallorca nearly 100°. I played tennis for an hour and a half in the morning and each day I’m getting better I think.

After tennis, I stopped by Aldi for some drinks and fruit, and went back to my apartment for lunch, etc. I saw these wild goats as I was looking at my window just before I was ready to leave.

I decided to take the 3:30 train to Soller from the Bunyola train station and I walked the 15 minutes or so to the train station. The train is an old wooden one, with wide open windows, wooden seats, and a wooden exterior. The views from the windows except when we went through the many tunnels was beautiful.

After arriving in Soller (which was really crowded) I stopped in the church square for a quick photo, walked down the shopping street and decided to keep walking up to Biniaraix, a small ancient village, which sits under the Tramuntana mountains. The walk was along narrow roads, all of which were two way for traffic, of course., with mountain views in the background and citrus and other orchards in the foreground.

I got back just in time to take the 630 train back to Bunyola and walked back to my apartment. My step total was around 20,000 steps today!

  1. Please tell us what you eat – your energy is amazing !! Looks like an amazing interesting place to be playing tennis !!

    • I don’t eat anything specifically.. I tried to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and enough protein, but it is really hot here in Mallorca! So when not playing tennis I’m trying to stay out of the heat
