Lucille Kyvallos won 2/1 ret at #1 singles (though the woman then played doubles, according to the draw sheet); Jane Lutz won 2,0 at #2 singles and Margaret Canby/Joyce Jones won the doubles point 62 75. For Jones it was her first match in international ITF Cup play.

Gardnar Mulloy Cup: USA swept a pretty tough Norweigan team 3/0. Joe Russell lost only 2 games in winning at #2 singles; John Powless won at #1 singles 1,1 and George McCabe/Saul Snyder won the doubles point. They play Sweden tomorrow (and Sweden lost to Norway yesterday).
