The USA women’s 50 teams beat Netherlands 2/1, winning both singles matches in straight sets (Heather Waters at #2 and Julie Thu at #1) before dropping the doubles point.
The USA Women’s 55 team beat Canada 2/1, dropping #2 singles (Lindsey Montero) before Kathy Settles (who only arrived on Saturday) did double duty, winning at #1 singles and the deciding doubles (with Jen Beindorf in her Cup debut)!
The Men’s 55 Team beat Switzerland 3/0, though Eoin Collins had to go 3 sets to win at #2 singles.
The Men’s 50s team had to play #1 seeded Italy and fell 3/0. It was a tough draw.
