USA Alice Marble Cup Team Seeded #1 At World Team Championships

The USA Women’s 60 team (Diane Barker, Susan Wright, Carolyn Nichols, Captain, and Pat Purcell) are seeded #1 in the ITF World Team Championships in Ulm, Germany. Australia is #2, Great Britain #3 and France #4. USA is in a group with Norway and Argentina (the 8th seed). A strong Australian team led by Ros Balodis and Lyn Mortimer will challenge the dominance of the USA in this age division. USA play Norway tomorrow, Sunday at 8;30 am.

The USA Women’s 55 team (Shelly Works, Captain, Vicki Buholz, Tracy Houk and Mary Dailey) is seeded #3 behind #1 Germany and #2 Australia. GBR, Netherlands, France and Italy complete the seeds. USA is in a group of three, with Sweden and Turkey.

The USA Women’s 50 team (Debbie Spence Nasim, Ros Nideffer, Captain, Jenny Klitch and Andrea Rice) are the #2 seeds behind #1 Germany. . France, Italy, Gr. Britain and Spain complete the seeds. USA is in a group with Australia and Austria.

The men’s 60 team (Mark Vines, Max Bucyxx, Ross Persons, Captain and Wes Cash) are seeded 2 and the men’s 50 (Eoin Collins, Captain) are seeded 5; the men’s 55 (Mike Tammen, Captain) are seeded 1 I think. I don’t have WiFi here and will add more details and photos sometime tomorrow.
