USA Medals in Women’s 35, 40 & 45s in Miami Beach

The USA women’s teams fell to tough opponents on the final day of play of the Young Seniors World Team Championships in Miami Beach on Friday.

The Lenglen Cup dropped both singles to a tough German team but finished second with silver medals!

The USA Young Cup team fell 2/1 to Great Britain, winning the #2 singles point (Lizl Kotz) before GBR edged Millie Yablonicky at #1 by the symmetrical score of 06 75 60. Kotz/Yablonicky lost the doubles point.

The USA Margaret Court Cup team lost to Spain in the 3/4 playoff but ended up with copper medals.

The Trabert Cup team won the 5/6 playoff, edging Denmark 2/1 in a match which came down to the third set of the deciding doubles.

The Dubler Cup team swept Costa Rica 3/0 to finish 15th.

The Italia Cup team played for 5th late in the day.
