The USA Young Cup team beat Germany 2/0 (doubles was not played) to win the Young Cup for the first time since 2011, 14 years ago. Anda Perianu won at #2 singles, brushing aside a 1-6 start to gut out the second 7-5 and bring it home 6-3 in the third. Mariko Fritz-Krokow won two tough sets at #1 singles, 64 75 to clinch gold.
