The USA Suzanne Lenglen (35) team beat France decisively to advance to the final at Flamingo Park Wednesday. Anda Perianu at #1 and Julie Thu at #2 dropped only six games between them in winning the singles matches; France did not play the doubles point. The USA Young (W40) team fell to Spain 2/1, dropping both singles points before winning the doubles point by default. They play for third next against Great Britain on Friday.

Both the men’s 35s and 40s fell in the quarterfinals yesterday.
The men’s 40s, Trabert Cup, dropped both singles matches agains Germany before winning the doubles point. They will now play for fifth against Denmark on Friday.
The Italia (M35) team started off their tie against Great Britain with a win at #2 singles (Jonathas Scupira) but then lost a tight match at #1 singles (Matt Hane) and lost the doubles point. They play Spain in the 5/6 playoff on Friday.
The Margaret Court (W45) team had a day off and play Great Britain today in the semis.
The men’s 45s team, playing for 15th, beat Turkey 3/0 yesterday to score their first win this week. They play South Africa next.
