
The USA swept again on Tuesday at the ITF Super Senior World Team Championships in Boynton Beach, Florida. It was a light day of play for the USA, as seven of the 10 teams had byes.
The Men’s 85 team beat Denmark 3/0 behind the stellar play of King Van Nostrand at #1 singles, Jerald Hayes at #2 singles and Captain George McCabe (90 years young) and Herm Ahlers in doubles. There are four teams this year, USA, Denmark, Argentina and Gr Britain. Both USA and Argentina are undefeated after two rounds, so the final is between USA and Argentina.
The Women’s 75 team swept Canada 3/0 behind the singles play of Sue Kimball at #1, Betty Wachob at #2 and doubles with Carolann Castell/Carol Gay. They swept Chile and Argentina earlier in the week. They now are in a three team playoff for gold with Great Britain and top-seeded France, and play France tomorrow at Boynton Beach Tennis Center.
The Women’s 80 team trounced Great Britain today behind the singles play of Cathie Anderson at #1 and Susanne Clark at #2; Suella Steel/Sheila Weinstock won the doubles point. They beat France earlier in the week. They will play top-seeded Germany in the final.

- W65: 11:30, Court 2, Quail Ridge CC (vs Germany) Edited!
- W70: 11:00, Court 1, Boynton Beach TC (vs Canada) Edited!
- W75: 11:00, Court 9, BBTC (vs France)
- W80: no play
- W85: no play
- M65: no play
- M70: 12 noon, Stadium, Boca West CC (vs Italy)
- M75: 12 noon, Court 18, Boca West CC (vs Italy)
- M80: 11:30, Court 1, Coral Lakes (vs Italy)
- M85: no play
